Renting a Unit/Cabinet
Thank you for your enquiry regarding our centre established in Southgate, Pickering.
Details of our terms and conditions are given below:-
- Pickering Antique Centre is open to the public 7 days a week, including Bank Holidays, except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and Easter Sunday.
- Security is in operation by means of a monitored burglar alarm system together with CCTV cameras. Security grills are on all windows and doors.
- Pickering Antique Centre is advertised through local newspapers and marketed through hotels, tourist information centres and other relevant organisations.
- A 1950 dateline operates within the centre and we reserve the right to reject any item we consider to be unsuitable for sale. Exceptions will be allowed in the case of collectables.
- Building and Public Liability Insurance is the responsibility of the Centre.
- A 6% commission charge is payable on each item sold on behalf of a unit/cabinet holder up to a total sales for the month of £3000. The commission charge over this amount is 5% and commission will be deducted from the sale proceeds.
- Rents are payable one month in advance on a standing order basis. Three months' notice is required to terminate the rental of a unit/cabinet. A 5% penalty will be charged for rents received after the 7th of the month in which the rent is due.
- Payment to unit/cabinet holders is made on the 25th of each month by BACS, the cut off date for sales being the 20th of each month.
